BACKGROUND

Judge Joel Worshtil is universally known for his patience, understanding, fairness and practical approach to disputes and their resolution.  After 18 years as a litigator he served as a Family Law Master and Maryland District Court Judge for 22 years.  Judge Worshtil practiced mediation in his law practice, has been certified in civil mediation through the Maryland Judiciary and has resolved numerous disputes as a member of the Judiciary.  For ten years he wrote the Personal Injury Verdicts Report for the Prince George’s County Bar Association and arbitrated securities, medical malpractice and human relations cases.

  • Retired Judge – Sitting as a Recalled Judge since June 2012
  • Judge – District Court of Maryland 1998 to 2012
  • Master – Family Division of the Circuit Court 1989 – 1998
