Anne MacKinnon Welsh is currently engaged in private mediation of civil cases. She is a former elected official and is now retired from Maryland State Government.
Anne has a long history of being involved in the community. She was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates, where she was a member of the Constitutional and Administrative Law Committee. She then was elected to the Prince George’s County Council where she served a year as Chairman. She was a Gubernatorial appointee to the Maryland State Board of Contract Appeals and was appointed by the County Executive to the Prince George’s County Human Relations Commission.
In addition to her public service, M’s MacKinnon Welsh has management experience. For twelve years she worked in the hotel business for Ramada Inn franchise properties holding various management positions. She was the the Director of Surplus Property Program, Maryland Department of Transportation. She also was a Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Transportation.
Anne is a fully trained mediator. She holds a Masters of Arts in Applied Management from University College, University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Anne MacKinnon Welsh is uniquely qualified to facilitate public policy development and to assist state, county, municipal and community organizations as well as governmental entities in resolving disputes between citizens and their representatives. She also has skills which can aide in the reconciliation of diverse and at times conflicting constituencies which impede the development of rational public policies and healthy communities and environments.

Managed correspondences on transportation issues for the Secretary and the Governor; made recommendation to the Secretary for transportation appointments to the Department’s numerous boards and commissions; and responsible for special projects as assigned.
